About me...

“¡Wepa! ¿Como estas?” It’s nice to meet you!

Hey there! I am José or Josie. My pronouns are they/them.

I am a proud genderqueer Latinx that blazed onto your world on the island of Puerto Rico. After learning all high school had to offer - which was nothing - I was ready to move on and totally convinced I was prepared for it too!

Epilogue - Later, I discovered I LIKED writing, for real - turns out I could have taught myself. Now...I’m chasing after UX writing/design, among other things, on a journey to become a Jack-of-all-trades, and master of (hopefully) some!

I am an old soul driven by curiosity to seek the hidden places where the buried truth of humanity intersects with the experience of being human in a technical world. I look with creative & critical eyes towards the ‘OPPOSITE.’ My third eye gazing upon places others choose not to look. Where truly innovative art & design is born.

“Experiencia” Experience that doesn’t make sense...yet.

Truth be told, my journey overall is very chaotic, mysterious, and full of failures. There were moments that pinned me to the edge of no return. Constant doubts swarmed my head almost daily. Yet, my strong sense of willpower allowed me to overcome those unrealistic life expectations placed upon me.

It taught me the power and value of empathy and humility, a wisdom that enables me to approach art & design with a broad perspective and open mind.

Being your authentic self in and out is easily worth the trials & tribulations that comes with it. If I didn’t push through uncertainty, fear, or shame with curiosity, I wouldn’t be who or where I am today. Also....I am a music loving foodie!

“Mi pasión es...” My passion is...

According to my ADHD, a lot of things. Photography, gym, poetry & spoken word, nature, or impulse buying books that I won’t read immediately because I love collecting books.

However, what really gets me high is deep music, good company, fabulous food, laughter, and an adventure. I’m all about creating & breathing meaningful experiences. That’s where storytelling blooms. I want to live long enough to share them.
